Confessions of an (occasional) glutton

MH and I are having a special lunch date this Saturday at a funky new restaurant called The Line at Singapore's Shangri La Hotel. We haven't been out together for a nice meal in ages... so I'm really looking forward to it. It's an all-you-can-eat buffet of 16 culinary food styles (from Chinese, Thai, Jamaican, Japanese, Greek etc). Yum!!! I asked the hostess who picked up my call to reserve a quiet corner for us... so it'll be nice to just sit down together and chat while enjoying the yummy food.

I recall the first time our family went on such a buffet at The Hyatt in KK. We had the high tea buffet. We starved ourselves the entire day in order to stuff ourselves there. We ate so much that we could hardly walk. Sam's tummy hurt. Did Paul vomit? Can't remember whether he did.

The other time I remember eating so much was a high tea buffet at The Hyatt in Perth. It was a girls outing with just me and Audrey. We ate lots of oysters because it was one of the most expensive things. I think we ate 10-12 oysters each! After that, we literally could hardly walk out of the place!

Such gluttons we are!!!
